Looky here I voted for Trump because I’m tired of the coastal elites making all the decisions in my life, So I voted for a guy that is worth hundreds of millions and own multiple homes near large bodies of ocean water. So I wasn’t crazy about Obama policies being on the other side of the aisle, but I at least respected him and thought he was fit to be president. Hell, I really disagree with Bernie but at least he sticks to what he believes and tries to carry himself as well as a crazy haired old man can. But Trump is just an international embarrassment. Even if you hate Paul Ryan you at least have to agree you can’t picture him running around calling out Trudeau like a child.

The biggest issue with Trump (and Obrador here in Mexico and Ciudadanos in Spain) is whataboutism.

If clinton is bad, it doesn’t mean you can be bad, your standards should not hang by comparasion to another candidate.

Your convictions should always aim the highest, even if you’ll be dissatisfied with the result.

I think trump is a heinous person, however, I would blame his victory (and his fanbase) on whataboutism, lazyness, miss-information, desperation,fanatism and ignorance.

Trump is a product of expecting little from politicians and abusing the weaknesses of the masses. Clinton is also a product of this, abusingn other weaknesses. But it’s what politicians have evolved to in an era of mass media that has absolute coverage of events but is devoid of responsibility to explain them

I think that Kasich could have beaten a smaller field - even if one of them was Trump, he could have been the #nevertrump guy. But in a field of 17? Forget it.

Conversely, I think Bernie could have beaten a large Democratic field.

Whatever, we were in for some kind of shitshow with Cheetolini or Clinton. We just picked the bigger of the two shitshows.

I think there’s a lot to be said for politicians where you feel like you can disagree with them, but still respect them. Reminds me of McCain saying at a rally that he “disagreed on specific topics” with Obama, but still respected him.

I don’t understand how anyone supported him in the first place. He has never been likable. He was okay for a long time with his racist supporters, who were also campaigning for him to take office. He used personal attacks instead of intelligent discussion when it came to political issues. He acted inappropriate in many public situations, which were numerous.

I don’t see any reason why people with any sense of family values would vote for him.

That’s how this place should be run. You don’t have to agree with everyone else, but you should be able to respect their positions. And maybe even debate the topics and come to, date I say it, a compromise.... these bunch of fucktards running the show (on both sides) are a joke. You can’t always get your way, and the ability to work with others with differing views to accomplish something seems to be lost on all these chuckleheads that we’ve elected to be our representation.

Here’s the fucking deal: Trump is now committing what is considered to be genocide by the definition of the UN under article 2 subsection E.

Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Green Party, Vermin Supreme I don’t give a smoldering rat’s ass what party you identify with, don’t be the party of genocide. And if you’re saying “that’s not genocide” I’ll get to your dumb fuckin ass in a minute or two.

The key thing is, all political parties are trash . No one party is going to have the solutions that make everyone happy all the time. But, just because one or more parties does something fucking stupid or immoral, unethical, or “degrades” american politics, and another party does an equally shitty thing, doesn’t mean both parties are equally bad. Hell they can both be giant shit sandwiches, but one tastes worse... the party that openly endorses genocide is always worse. Not to mention that just because both parties do something shitty doesn’t mean that they should be absolved of the shitty thing that they did. Two wrong have never made a right before, why are we, the people giving them this pass now? Some parties are less trash than others, but every party has some garbage in it.

And listen, I can understand some people who live on the border and don’t want the trouble of illegal immigration (I don’t agree with them, but I can understand their position) so sure, enforce the law if that’s the route you want to take, but don’t go out of your way to be unnecessarily and intentionally cruel about it. There is something so retributive and pernicious about the way we are doing this to people essentially seeking asylum from a broken state.

As for those of you who don’t think this qualifies as genocide, they literally wrote the book on what defines genocide starting in 1946 after World War II. So fuck your opinions on what genocide are, they’re wrong and you’re a terrible person for trying mental chicanery to get out of the fact that what is happening is GENOCIDE. And keep reading, all of the ICE agents doing this should be tried separately for their crimes. Just following fucking orders wasn’t good enough for the Nazis and it wont be good enough for ICE.

Also lets take a minute to appreciate the irony of the “pro-life” party endorsing the genocide of children. Ya’ll are pro life, but don’t care if that life is spent in a child detention center? Where is your compassion, empathy, and sense of respect for your fellow man? for children?

Plain and simple even if you’re Scrooge McDuck swimming in a pool of gold coins, enjoying your tax breaks, booming economy, and getting a few jabs in on the “snowflake liberals” but if you think that subjecting children to the psychological and philological effects of being torn from their parents is reasonable in exchange for the quixotic goal of “border security” you’re a garbage person, and you should feel free to take yourself out. Literally, figuratively, metaphysically, or otherwise.

In short: The Trump Administration is committing a form of Genocide, if this isn’t the straw that breaks the camels back for this country, the GOP is the equivalent of the Nazi party in 1936 and we are headed towards some seriously dark times.

I’m not sure how the current child separation practice falls into the “intent to destroy,” which is by the UN’s own admission the hardest thing to prove. The practice is certainly wrong and goes well beyond the administration’s normal affinity for morally questionable theatricality, but it is likely shy of the genocide definition at this point.
